Cable Connectivity and Resilience Centre (CCRC) Director Nadia Krivetz participated in Submarine Networks World 2026, held in Singapore on 23–24 September.
The annual conference brings together cable operators, government representatives and industry experts to exchange views and share insights on protecting subsea telecommunications cable infrastructure and strengthening secure and reliable global connectivity.
Ms Krivetz participated in the keynote panel, ‘Synchronizing subsea security and putting policy into practice—who does what, when, why and where?’, along with representatives from the Royal Australian Navy, UK Ministry of Defence, International Cable Protection Committee, Meta, Sparkle and APTelecom. The panel explored how government, industry and defence organisations can work together to translate subsea cable security policy into practice. Discussions highlighted the importance of clear roles and responsibilities, trusted information-sharing and coordinated approaches to cable protection, incident response and repair.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity for CCRC to engage with government and industry representatives, exchange views on emerging challenges and opportunities, and share insights on best-practice approaches to subsea cable protection. The CCRC looks forward to continuing its collaboration with international partners to support secure and resilient global connectivity.
